It may be more universally considered to be a vice, but by no means is gambling against the law – well in a lot of countries including the UK, that is. I’m sure there are countless stories of some Sheikhs who’ve gotten up to no good on account of the laws they themselves developed or helped develop, many of which are publicised as well. In the same way, you have countries like the USA where something is illegal or becomes legal by virtue of an invisible line drawn in the sand by some leaders from the misty days of yore who felt it pertinent to impose their beliefs on the society they’ve been tasked with governing.
Macau – Macau is a territory of China, right and yet you can’t gamble on the mainland, but you can take a short boat ride and suddenly what’s illegal in one part of what is effectively the same territory is now legal.
Maybe I’m going a bit far in trying to justify gambling, but what I’m getting at is the fact that you shouldn’t feel bad for responsibly engaging one vice that can make for a lot of fun and if managed properly, it won’t get you into any trouble at all.
